Can I become a surgeon?
Can I become a surgeon?
I’m studying dentistry and want to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery, It’s just that I saw a reconstructive surgery clip performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to a man who’s whole jaw was blown by a gun shot and I felt so sick that I couldn’t watch it.
Is this normal?will I get used to it?or…?
well, I wouldn’t be able to watch that either! But I would have to assume that is something you aren’t going to see everyday, y’know? And if it’s something you are truly passionate about, I say give it some time before you write it off completely. I would think for those who aren’t naturally squeamish, they would get desensitized to the actual surgury. Best of luck to you!
