I’m not sure I understand the question. Most of the things you have listed here are specialties. Are these dental schools, majors, etc? Restorative dentistry is the closest thing I see to general denistry here.

I got a new job with a temp agency (Corestaff, if that part matters) and they offer CIGNA benefits right off the bat.

Long story short, I need one more molar root canal, and three molar crowns.

So, if I’m willing to wait out the preexisiting wait what have you, what does CIGNA offer in these?!

I spent 2 hours looking all over their official webiste and other Google results, and they were all pretty vague on the subject of restorative dentistry.

Should I be frightened at how the CIGNA plan webpage pushes the issue of "The best approach to restorative dentistry is to stop it before it happens. Yippee!" without giving me example costs of major dental work in numbers?

There should be a toll-free number for you to call Cigna. Talk to a customer service rep and ask what your plan entails specifically. Each company has their own plan and each plan can differ greatly.

Well, first you must separate the two…a restorative dentist is a doctor, he ranks above a hygienist. So that should answer your question, the dentist makes more money with his practice, however the hygienist does not have the headache of running a business yet makes good money. Hygienist can make up to 60K a year, depending on amount of hours. But, I wonder…if you did not do well, you say your GPA was low, then you won’t make it to dental school to become a dentist. So I am also not sure why you believe that you had a GPA that was good enough for dentistry. Maybe you should retake some of the classes that you graded low in to get a higher GPA. If you were not accepted for the hygiene program, you wont be accepted into dental school.
