what is the need for restorative treatments in dentistry?

oral health is so important and part of it are our teeth. we must give care for them. we should have to restore our decayed teeth for some reasons.. first for our mastication we need all of them for tearing and grinding of our food.second for our health, not only the surrounding tissues but also for our whole body. remember preventive is better than curative.. better to have dental check up at least twice a year.

Copper plating makes a more durable die and "keeps the lab honest." I gave up copper plating about 5 or 6 years ago when it became difficult to locate a supplier for the metalizing solution or powder. Not having a bath of copper sulfate in the office is one less OSHA concern, anyway. It also adds at least a day to your lab procedure while you wait for the plating.

I’m sorry about the people who have not a clue what you are talking about, but insist on making fun of you all the same.

Questions about repair (restorative) cosmetic dentistry – dental bonding?

Due to an eating disorder, I have lost enamel on my teeth and now need something called dental bonding. I’m not sure really sure what it is. I know they roughen the surface of the tooth then put some stuff on it… right? What is the outlines of the procedure.
Will I need to be numbed up? Will it hurt? How long will it take? etc. I’m very nervous.

Yes numbed up and they prep the tooth and then place a tooth colored material over it

JUST ASK YOURSELF WHAT DO DENTISTS DO THAT’S RESTORATIVE? ALMOST EVERYTHING, FILLINGS, CROWS, BRIDGES, IMPLANTS, ORTHODONTICS, ETC. ALL AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH DENTISTRY IS RESTORATIVE.
WHAT ARE YOU RESTORING?
THE NATURAL FORM AND FUNCTION OF THE HUMAN DENTITION.
